Brighton & Hove Albion manager, Fabian Hurzeler, has stated that he is unsure when midfielder James Milner will be able to return from injury. Milner has been out of action since picking up a hamstring injury in Brighton's 2-1 defeat to Arsenal on December 31.
Hurzeler told reporters at a press conference on Friday that the club is taking a cautious approach with Milner's recovery, and that they do not want to rush him back too soon. "James is progressing well, but we have to be patient with him," Hurzeler said. "We don't want to take any risks with him, and we want to make sure that he is fully fit before he returns to action."
Milner a Key Player for Brighton
Milner has been a key player for Brighton this season, making 17 appearances in all competitions. The 37-year-old has scored two goals and provided three assists, and has been a key part of the team's midfield.
Brighton are currently 17th in the Premier League table, and will be hoping to have Milner back in the team as soon as possible as they look to avoid relegation.
