New Development Plans for the City
Community and Economic Development Director Update
Mike Johnson, Community and Economic Development Director, recently provided an update on the city's development plans. Johnson noted that the city is working on a general plan to guide future development. The plan will include a focus on preserving the city's character and promoting economic growth.
Parks and Recreation Service Area Update
Samantha DeSeelhorst, Senior Planner for the Parks and Recreation Service Area, also provided an update on the city's parks and recreation plans. DeSeelhorst noted that the city is working on a number of projects to improve the city's parks and recreation facilities, including a new park at 7500 S. Cottonwood Heights.
Subdivision Amendment Request
The city is also considering a subdivision amendment request to consolidate three half-acre lots into a single 1.5-acre lot. The request is being reviewed by the city's planning commission.
